The Nomad showing is located about 500 metres north of Asitka Peak and about 2.8 kilometres northeast of Sustut Lake.

Locally, the area is underlain by the Upper Triassic Savage Mountain Formation (Takla Group). This formation consists of greenish to red-brown intermediate porphyritic flows, chloritic tuffs and agglomerates, and minor intercalated epiclastic sediments. These stratified rocks are intruded by the Early Jurassic Asitka Peak stock which ranges from hornblende and/or biotite granodiorite to quartz diorite. These rocks are cut by mafic dykes, generally less than 3-metres thick, which are finely feldspar porphyritic (Assessment Report 5202). The stock is immediately north of the Nomad vein.

In 2018, one sample (592634) was taken about halfway between two MINFILE occurrences Asitka 10 (094D 148) and Asitka 19 (094D 096). This sample was from a strongly malachite/azurite rich quartz float boulder. The sample source was thought to have come directly above where a vein could be seen in the western wall of the volcanic ridge. The vein was examined via helicopter and observed to be about 1.5 metres wide and exposed over 4.5 metres of length vertically. The location was at UTM 657570 East and 6276118 North. Sample 592634 assayed 130 grams per tonne silver and 7.97 per cent copper (Assessment Report 37708).

In July of 2018, John Bot contracted R. Beck Consulting Services to conduct a short sampling program along the gossanous hillside of the western flanks of Asitka Mountain (Assessment Report 37708). Eleven of 12 samples collected during the program were taken along a northwest trending traverse west of Asitka 25 (094D 097) and Asitka 29 (094D 094). A more significant sample was taken between Asitka 10 (094D 148) and Asitka 19 (094D 096).
